Spy Daisakusen

Spy Daisakusen is a first-person adventure game with turn-based combat and slight RPG elements. It is based on the Mission Impossible TV series.

You play as Mister Phelps, the leader of the Impossible Mission Force, a group of special agents that operate around the world and solve tricky cases. This time around you have to infiltrate a building that secretly serves as a secret base for an enemy group of spies. You walk through the building in the vein of a first-person dungeon crawler, search through rooms, kill enemies in shootouts and recover important documents.

At the beginning of the game, your status attributes are randomly generated which determines things such as your hit percentage or evasion and so on. Afterward, you can equip yourself with a number of items, ranging from deadly weapons to indispensable spy equipment. There is also a variety of weapons, but with a limit on the capacity. Your maximum is determined by physical strength.

Players need to watch out not blow up engine rooms or armories. You can use armories whenever you like to fill up your inventory with grenades which you will need to blow up rooms. Meanwhile, you can use infirmaries to heal up once per infirmary. Because you can only take two hits before dying and when you were hit once you can go to an infirmary and use it to heal that one lost hit point. But it only works once per infirmary.

The ultimate goal is to make your way to the archive and to escape from the building alive. But battles against enemies can easily end up killing you and sometimes there is some kind of death traps in the elevators. All rooms and enemies are randomly generated before each playthrough. There are always six floors with ten rooms each. Depending on your performance you can also score points after successfully accomplishing your goal and making it out of the building alive.
