Pendragon: Water of Life

Water of Life is a roleplaying game for the Dragon 32/64.

The far-off world of Valgorin is slowly being overtaken by the forces of evil, led by the Warlocks of the Eye. Standing against the Evil is the aging ruler of Valgorin, Great Onin. A great spell of everlasting sleep has been cast upon Onin, and although a mighty warrior, he will soon succumb to its power. The player controls Pendragon, from the race of Warlock Warriors, who has stood beside Onin for many eons. Onin must relearn the great magic words and obtain the Water of Life from the Eternal Castle.

The player moves across the land of Valgorin by selecting the cardinal directions. The player inventory and statistics can be reviewed. A map is available to track progress. As the player explores they gather items, gold, and other treasures. Negative events can lead to loss of items or health. Several special locations on the map can be visited, and current terrain is graphically displayed on the screen. The player encounters random combat, where each turn they can attack or cast spells. Death awaits if all health is lost.
