Shadow Knight

Shadow Knight is the kind of game a lot of young aspiring game developers made, perhaps in QuickBasic, back in the early 90’s. It’s textmode and simulates a warrior of your choice (fighter, thief, mage, or thug) killing things to get gold, to get better weapons, to kill enemies. One difference here is that even though you battle in a dungeon, you fight human opponents (apprentice mages, druids, priests, etc). The entire game is menu-driven, and there is not much depth past the character creation (re-roll until you get good stats) and then grinding to kill stuff. Worth checking out if you enjoy textmode games or very simple RPGs.
