The Golden Flute IV: The Flute of Immortality

he Golden Flute IV: The Flute of Immortality is a game that in most respects is a pretty unremarkable RPG. It was made in 1994 and features an odd combination of CGA graphics and SoundBlaster sounds/music. The main draw here is the story around the game. It was made by Paint.NET author Rick Brewster when he was 12, given to his cousin, and was mostly forgotten. But it somehow found its way across BBSes and CD game collections to be streamed on Twitch in 2019, and the author was reunited with his long-lost game. A great story about the kind of game that many of us made when we were kids, except this particular one developed a life of its own and lives on!
